Why do we want to be heroes for the community?

Why the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation?
Launched in 2005 by Firehouse Subs founders Chris and Robin Sorensen, the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation was created to extend the Firehouse Subs mission to give back to the community from where the founders started, in the firehouse.

Lewisville Equipment Donation Since Firehouse Subs was founded by firemen, what better way than to lend a helping hand to our hometown heroes? As former firefighters, your job is to serve the public, and you have to be prepared at any given time to help others and to save lives. Goodwill and serving others in the name of Firehouse Subs is contagious, and is spreading like wildfire through the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.

In many communities, the emergency service programs do not have all the tools they need to effectively protect the people of those communities. Many communities have only a volunteer fire department that has to raise their own funds to provide life-saving equipment. This task is a very difficult undertaking for these organizations. The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation was created to ease the burden of fire departments, law enforcement and other emergency service entities.

The duty of a public safety officer is to serve and protect. As a 501 (c) (3) organization, our mission is dedicated to improving the life-saving capabilities of emergency service entities in communities served by Firehouse Subs by providing funding, resources and support.

Goals:

In order to accomplish its mission, the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation plans to:

To provide emergency service entities with life-saving equipment.
To provide prevention and educational tools to the public about the importance of fire safety, emergency services and natural disaster preparedness in order to prevent disasters in the home and community.
To provide financial resources to individuals pursuing a career in the public safety sector through a scholarship programs for future firefighters and law enforcement.
To provide ground assistance during disasters by feeding victims and medical workers on the scene.
