Meet the Chiefs in the Firehouse


Robin Sorensen, Founder

Robin controls the direction of the company's growth, oversees all creative decisions, and manages the company-wide purchasing of products and vendor selection for the system. As the chief decision maker, Robin's innate abilities to lead and negotiate are the driving force behind the company. He means business in the boardroom, but is known for his fun-loving and witty sense of humor and overall zest for food, travel, and laughter. Robin is married with four children.



Chris Sorensen, Founder

Chris oversees expansion plans for the company, but is primarily focused on the creative side of the business, including architecture, layout and design of the restaurants, selection of the murals, and overall artistic licensing for Firehouse Subs. For more than 30 years, Chris has enjoyed playing and writing original compositions. His artistic sense, coupled with an acute knowledge of running a business, helps shape the company's image and contributes to the uniqueness of the company's ownership team. Chris is married with three children.





Stephen Joost, CFO and Partner

As partner, Stephen focuses on charting company growth and developing expansion plans in the corporate and franchise areas. As CFO, he coordinates and manages the accounting division and all financial-related activities for Firehouse Subs. Stephen is the chairman of the Firehouse Subs Men's Doubles Tennis Tournament, the company's signature fundraising event. Stephen was recently elected to a four-year term on the Jacksonville, Florida City Council. He is married and is a father of two.


Don Fox, CEO of Firehouse of America, LLC.

A 30-year restaurant industry veteran, Don joined Firehouse Subs in 2003 and quickly rose to the ranks of CEO. He oversees Firehouse of America, a subsidiary created to manage franchisee operations for the company. He is the liaison between Firehouse Subs and its franchise community, and wears many hats. Don is known for his forward-thinking attitude and sharp management skills. He is also a musician and a published author. He authored Patton's Vanguard, which is an in-depth study of the 4th Armored Division during WWII. Don is married with three children.







Vincent Burchianti, Vice President of Finance and Technology

Vince joined Firehouse Restaurant Group as the Corporate Controller in 2001, and brings more than 20 years of experience in restaurant accounting. He directs the accounting, reporting and technology departments for both the corporate and franchise divisions of Firehouse Subs. Additionally, he develops and analyzes future growth strategies, maintains all investor relationships, and holds an executive-level position with Capital 94, LLC, the company's lending division. Vince is known for his witty sense of humor and uncompromising dedication to the success of his division. Vince is married with two children.
