Title: General Manager

Reports To: District Manager

Job Summary: The General Manager position is fully accountable for the profitable operation of a Firehouse Subs Restaurant while adhering to all company guidelines and regulations.


Qualification Requirements:

  • Ensure the restaurant is in full compliance with all local, state and federal regulations
  • Ensure knowledge, adherence and enforcement of all Firehouse Subs Policies and Procedures
  • Provide leadership to the restaurant team so that each team member consistently meets our standards of superior customer service, quality and cleanliness, while embracing the Firehouse Subs "Culture" of a cheerful and fun work environment
  • Ensure the profitability of the business by operating within established guidelines and requirements for sales growth, food cost, labor, and controllable costs
  • Coordinate and implement current operations game plans and company initiatives and store marketing in a profitable and timely manner
  • Accountable for the proper staffing of the restaurant with qualified personnel
  • Accountable for the continuous training and development of the restaurant personnel including other managers and shift leaders
  • Ensure all required programs, reports and legal documents are accurate, complete and accomplished on schedule
  • Assist and manage any/all duties assigned by District Leader/Vice President/Owner
  • Maintain a safe and secure work and dining environment

Supporting Duties as a General Manager:

  • Able to work on his/her feet for extended periods of
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Maintain awareness and participation in community affairs to take advantage of sales and public relations opportunities
  • Represent Firehouse Subs in a professional and positive manner at all times
  • Communicate effectively to District Leader/Vice President/Owner and Firehouse Subs Home Office Personnel all issues and opportunities which may impact business
  • Maintain restaurant equipment in full working order and communicate problems immediately to District Leader/Vice President/Owner
  • Ability to analyze business trends and develop plans/implement plans for success

Title: Assistant Manager

Reports To: General Manager

Title: Shift Leader

Reports To: General Manager


Position Summary: This position is fully accountable for the profitable operation of a specific shift designated by the General Manager while adhering to all company guidelines and regulations.


Essential Functions:

  • Ensure the restaurant is in full compliance with all local, state and federal regulations
  • Ensure knowledge, adherence and enforcement of all Firehouse Subs Policies and Procedures
  • Ensure the profitability of the business by operation shifts within established guidelines and requirements for food cost, labor, controllables, utilities and sales growth.
  • Provide leadership to the restaurant team to consistently meet standards of superior customer service, quality and cleanliness while embracing the Firehouse Subs "Culture" of a cheerful and fun work environment.
  • Assist the General Manager in coordinating and implementing current operations game plans and company initiatives in a profitable and timely manner.
  • Participate in interviewing, training and disciplining employees under the guidance of the general manager.
  • Ensure all required programs, reports and legal documents are accurate, complete and accomplished on schedule.

Supporting Duties:

  • Able to work on his/her feet for extended periods of

  • Maintain awareness and participation in community affairs to take advantage of sales and public relations opportunities
